David is the Founder and President of McMac CX (www.mcmaccx.com), a for-profit, community facing, social enterprise that facilitates Just and Prosperous Futures through better buildings and communities. Working with Partners from around the globe, McMac CX deploys customized advanced Social Tech allowing the immediate implementation of sustainable betterments that create positive social and environmental change economically. Instant equitable access to above-minimum-code sustainable proven best practice designs, advanced technologies and world class policies and processes allows everyone to create and inhabit places to live, learn, work, and play that are safe, healthy, efficient, and prosperous.
In an effort of empower both building and community Creators and Inhabitants, David launched the Air Champions – Social Change Scientist initiative on Earth Day 2020, arming teachers, students, health departments, community activists with the ability to crowd source hyper local data pressuring community and business leaders to correct poor air quality performance in our schools, offices, and communities.
A founding Board Member of the Texas Chapter of the US Green Building Council (USGBC), David is committed to improving lives by advocating locally and Statewide for better building and community code adoption and enforcement. David created the USGBC Texas – Best Practices Committee and the award-winning Best Practices app as a platform for accelerating the implementation of proven best practices by connecting traditional building and community “Creators” with “Inhabitants” through an engaging common social, enviroamantial, financial, and emerging equity dollar value lens.
As Chair and founder of the ASHRAE Houston – Commissioning Committee David educates industry professionals and code officials about the health and prosperity benefits community and building inhabitants gain by proper enforcement of mandatory code requirement.
David is the Co-Founder of the Texas Sustainable Business Network (TXSBN). The TXSBN believes that the time is right to combine our strong business voices to power the advancement of a more sustainable Texas economy. Engaging like-minded businesses, investors, and business organizations advances market and policy shifts for an equitable and sustainable future for all Texans. Focused on a triple bottom line economy, TXSBN will build a force to drive towards solutions, acting as a counterbalance to the “short term profit at all costs” perspective.
