TXSBN Event: Launch of the Environmental Justice Tool

The Texas Sustainable Business Network (TXSBN), the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Texas, Autocase, and Impact Hub Houston invited all to the “Launch & Learn” event for the new Environmental Justice Tool — https://www.ejtoolkit.com. Attendees learned how to use this FREE resource to improve the health and well-being of their communities. For the full program, see the video below.

Texas Sustainable Business Network Event: Launch of the Environmental Justice Tool

The Environmental Justice Tool’s interactive questionnaire follows the USGBC’s Social Equity Planning and Assessment Tool (https://www.usgbc.org/resources/social-equity-planning-and-assessment-tool) and encourages you and your stakeholders to focus on what is possible, providing decision-ready data that has previously been unavailable, expensive to aggregate, or identified too late in the process to have meaningful impact.

When included in the planning of building and community projects, the Environmental Justice Tool creates a framework and repeatable pathway for development that result in more inclusive and equitable outcomes that better reflect the needs and desires of all building and community stakeholders.

Powered by Autocase data and economic analytics, the Environmental Justice Tool was made possible through the generous support of HOK, Stantec, Jacobs, Quinn Evans, and the vision and guidance of steering committee members NAACP’s Centering Equity in the Sustainable Building Sector, National Organization for Minority Architect, and the AIA Large Firm Roundtable.
